If you are a new player looking to learn the mechanics of the game, a well-seasoned player looking to make gameplay more interesting, or simply a someone looking to find how to to spawn units in Hearts of Iron, you've come to the right place. In order for this command to work, you need to have the '-debug' launch option added to the game in Steam. To view a guide on how to do this if you haven't already added the -debug option to your launch options. After doing this, all you need to do is enter a simple console command to spawn units, this is explained below. The command that is used to spawn units in HOI4 is the. Its syntax is as follows:spawn unit name/id province id amountWhat do these parameters mean? That's explained in the table below! Unit Name/IDThe ID of the unit you wish to spawn, e.g. 'artillery', 'antitank', etc.Province IDThe ID of the province you wish to spawn the unit within.AmountThe amount of the specified unit you wish to spawn. So, to spawn 1 Support Anti-Tank (antitank) in the province with ID 4367, you'd type:spawn antitank 4367 1You could change that to 300 Support Anti-Tanks with the below command:spawn antitank 4367 300If you're looking for a list of codes like 'antitank', etc, you can use HOI4Cheats's.That's really all there is to spawning units like tanks, artillery, etc in Hearts of Iron IV.

If the above commands aren't working for you, it's likely that you haven't added the launch options properly, to revisit our guide on how to add the -debug launch option.

So the best navy is just carriers and destroyers. Most important point don't skimp on naval research. Different tiers of capital ships are massive. Not being able to pierce there armour means you are screwed. Mixed approach seems to be the way to go.ScreenDestroyers:.Best sub attack.Best AA per price.CheapLight cruisers:.Bigger guns.Better port usage.Gets more benefit from doctrineI personally think destroyers are the way to go. They are significantly cheaper allowing them to be replaceable. They are the only ship that cannot get reliability upgrades meaning they may be 100% reliable.

Unless doctrines give a signficant advantage or ports are really limiting I would rather a heavy cruiser and destroyer mix over taking these.Capital shipsHeavy cruisers:.Cheapest capital ship.Same speed as carriersBattle cruisers:.Higher pierce then armor.High range just 1 point bellow battleships.Only 2 versions. In and past 1944 they are just not good anymore. They also struggle in 1936 but you can just be using a supped up variant to make up for it.As fast as heavy cruisers of the same yearBattleships:.Slow.Highest HP.Gun attack per total cost.Highest HP.gun attack per port usage.Best AA of any capital shipSH battleships:.Strongest ships in the sea.Double the port usage.Slow.Worse AA then battleships.Only 2 versions.High armor.Don't outdate.

They will pierce armourCarriers:.Can hold air craft.Little amour.Low HP.Not suitable for direct combatCarriers obvious advantage is they can use air craft to strike inland. They also use weapon factories to speed up navy strength. I am not sure how strong air craft will be in naval combat but if they get into direct combat they are toast. As a nation like Italy you may be better using those air craft on land and the dock yards producing something else.Battlecruisers seem very good.

They require less technology investment then heavy cruisers, and are fast. However they don't scale as well into the game. Battleships on the other hand bring the best in the HP.gun attack/cost in the game and are overall much harder to kill. I like the look of battle cruisers because they have the best speed, and good guns. There guns when maxed can pierce same level battleships (unless they get a lot of armour).Heavy cruisers seem usefull if the enemy is spamming screen ships.

There guns cannot pierce your armour. If you are on a heavy budget bring these guys.SH I would call ultra late game naval unit where battleships are unusable due to these guys armour.DoctrineBase StrikeIf you are going carriers use this its the best for them by far.

The other 2 options seem terrible compared to other doctrinesFleet in Being.Best for escort efficiency.Strongest fleet stats. All around advantages on capital focusTrade Interdiction.Best for subs by FAR.Can get max capital benefits after 5 techs where others have 7Trade interdiction capital focus seems good.50% surface visibility for your battle cruisers (and battleships), better surface detection, and sharing most of the benefits fleet in being.50% surface visibility may be very significant allowing you to take favorable fights more easily. Enemies will have harder time finding your fleet and ours will have better time finding theirs in theory is good. LC would probably work better then destroyers because they get bonuses to surface detection. But destroyer are signficantly better against subs so debatable. You can also set your fleet onto raider focus and not suffer massively giving you options. I am personally going to try this with battle cruisers (or battleships) and light cruisers because it seem strong.Against fleet in being battleships you are faster allowing you to outrun them. Or if you are using battleships makes it easier to take favorable engagement.

Against carriers your better detection and stealthiness probably allows you to catch them off guard. Carriers have 0 chance against a battle cruiser in direct combat and can be destroyed. It would be extreamly costly if you destroy a carrier.I could also see destroyers and battle ship fleet in being focusing on winning any naval battle you can get into.

The benefits like +10% attack, and +10% AA compared to -50% visibility though.Carriers and destroyers focusing on letting your aircraft do the work. If you get caught out you could loss your carriers much easier. You may want to mix some heavy cruisers to protect themBut overall probably a balanced approach to navy is the best idea.

Heavy cruisers fight screens and chase and battleships fight other capitals. If you have enough naval xp to upgrade there guns battlecruisers at 1940 seem like a good consideration they are middle of the road doing the job of battleships and heavy cruisers.

I would not build battlecruisers without dumping 4 levels into guns because you need to pierce same level battleship armour. If you cannot pierce same level armour you are a glorified heavy cruiser.VariantsI would skip speed on subs. Getting both speed and stealth on subs reduces reliability and gives you nothing in return.I don't think armor is that useful on ships I would rather for speed. Carrier Armour seems like something you want to keep above 3 so its not as vulnerable to destroyers.Skipping armor gives you +5% speed, and saves you 260 naval xp. 5% speed can make your battle ships almost as fast as carriers. Armor makes you better against outdated ships of your class which I would not count on. The only ship it see it being useful on is super heavy battleships.

You simply make normal battleships obsolete because there pierce is too low. Battleships seems like the go to surface fleet. I would not bring pure destroyers or you would not have the best concentration of force. Destroyers would also be very port inefficient, and very ineffective against capitals. But as I mentioned battle cruisers for there speed inside trade interdiction. If you want to make a budget navy battle cruisers seem the way to go.'

.High range just 1 point bellow battleships.' Did you mean SH Battleships?I meant battle cruisers. Heavy cruisers for example are massively outranged where battle cruisers keep at range. I don't think you can have 50 destroyers all fighting 1 BS at once. You may not have the bases to support such a large fleet of destroyers.Lets use 1936 stats which is 11:1 for IC and 6.2:1 in resources. At that point you have to bring manpower into the equation 5500 which is a entire division verse 1000 for battleships.

For normal navies its insignificant but when you bring this much destroyers its start to impact you. The battleship will bring 22 gun attack with 33 range. The destroyers 33 guns but would do half damage so 16.5 with 15 range. Destroyers also have torpedoes which factor in somehow. Its probably also easier to find a 11 destroyer fleet then it is 1 battleship, destroyers have lower organization, etc making there reasons to use capital ships. A battleship could retreat from the fight and be repaired where the destroyers are permanently lost. One thing i noticed from a few streamers is that some of the other smaller nations have very limited capacity to build naval fleet. I didn't see any huge naval investment from any of the main streamers over the weekend as Germany or Italy since I think it's almost a forgone conclusion the USA and Britain navy will be to strong so everyone just focused on troops and tanks instead, but would be cool if you could make a dominate navy.

I'm guessing you would have to say take Denmark, sweeden and Norway to get more navy dockyards to build faster but who knows. Hate being stuck at work waiting to play until tonight.I just hope the multiplayer is amazing smooth to handle 20 plus people like eu4 at the end of all the patches and expansions.
